At Thomas F. Eagleton United States Courthouse

We entered the North Courtroom and Kathleen was assigned to Seat #8. Each seat had a blue-bag package - Kathleen picked hers up and examined it. Now she reads the Naturalization Ceremony Program.

Kathleen chats with our friend Chris Willenbrock, the only deaf 'witness' we had.

Aleksandr Panchenko (on second row, standing) said that he left Russia for America during its worst financial crisis in 1998 - now, being in the United States, he says, "Here I go again!" (followed by an outburst of laughter) - He works for an investment firm. The U.S. Air Force servicewoman, sitting to right (on third row), is Katarzyna Maria Sondej who came from Poland.

Kathleen says, "I do!" (she reads the Oath from the laptop monitor) - the rest of people take the Oath simultaneously.

After exiting the ceremony, Kathleen did her FIRST responsibility to the United States - Register to Vote!

Kathleen registers to vote! (anyone who refuses to register to vote is considered to be un-American!)

Kathleen's first lunch as an American citizen! She had fried catfish nuggets and french fries in the courthouse cafeteria.
